Round: Sunday Dubs
Course: TBD
Layout: TBD
Time: 10:00 am start
Cost: $7 ($1 for the ace pot, $1 for the club, $5 for betting)
Membership required (Become a member)
Dubs, or Doubles, is a round format played in teams of 2. Teams are selected by a random flip. If there is an odd number of players, one player will be designated the "Cali" and play as an individual team. Cards of 2 – 3 teams are formed to play the round.
During a Doubles round, both players in a team will throw their drives and decide which drive they want to use as their new lie. They both throw from their new lie and again choose which throw they want to use. This continues until they have completed the hole. The Cali will not have a partner but will be allowed to take one additional throw per hole. This additional throw can be on a drive, upshot, or putt.
After the round is played and scores are submitted, cash prizes will be distributed to the teams with the top scores of the round, with the best score receiving the biggest cash prize, and so on. The number of cash prizes available is determined by the number of players attending the round.
The Dubs ace pot will have a $150 maximum available per round. The player who gets an ace is not required to share with their partner (but usually people split the ace pot with their partner. We're all friends here!).

Bag Tag rounds (commonly referred to as Tag rounds) are a staple of the disc golf community and a fun way to get to know others in the club and challenge each other to improve your skills. Tags are meant to be displayed on your bag and are engraved with a number that represents your rank within the bag tag structure. Bag tags are available for Tier 3 VCU members, however participating in this event is open to all VCU members.
