Membership

The Van City United Disc Golf Club (VCU) is a not-for-profit organization that is completely run by and for members. As a member of VCU you'll have access to all of our club rounds and events, as well as belong to a fun, supportive community of disc lovers in Vancouver. Members are eligible to vote in VCU elections, serve on the Board of Directors, and have a unique opportunity to affect and promote disc golf in our city and region.

TierS

All VCU membership tiers include Weekly Round Insurance provided by the BC Disc Sports Society (BCDS) for all rounds hosted by VCU. VCU membership is required to participate in our club-hosted rounds. Tier 2 or 3 membership fees can be submitted in cash to the host at one of our club events.

ACE POT:
Limited:
This ace pot (won by getting a “hole in one” or “Ace”) is based on the number of people present for that round. For example, 10 people playing means a $10 ace pot for Tier 1 members.

Accrued: Contributions to these ace pots are from each member's round fees and are continuously pooled, with a cap of $150 available per round. Multiple aces in one round will split the available ace pot for that round.

BAG TAGS:
Bag tags are engraved with a number that represents your rank within the bag tag structure and are used for competition between members. Bag tags are used for our Saturday Tag rounds (although a tag is not necessary to play with us during any weekly rounds) and can be used for head-to-head or group challenge rounds as well. Tags are distributed at the end of a Tag round based on score, with the best score receiving the lowest tag, and so on. Bag tags are valid for one year and expire at the end of the bag tag season after the year-end Bag Tag tournament; at this point, the tag you end the season with is yours to keep! Bag tags for the new season will be distributed to Tier 3 members at the beginning of the new bag tag season.
